A photograph reflects who you are, what you care about — in short, it acts as a mirror of your inner self. Even in our closest relationships, we struggle, at times, to see beyond the surface, and to allow ourselves to be seen in such a way. Even though I see you — my partner — in the viewfinder, when I take the picture, what I actually capture is an invisible connection between us as human beings, a raw and unprocessed moment unaffected by our various physical and mental restrictions. This is where our common ground lies.
